Post Valentine Date

It's the month of hearts & Valentine's day just passed me by without even stopping to say "Hi!". Kidding. Ok, it didn't actually just pass by uneventful. My V day was just like any other day except for the fact that we had to do overtime at the laboratory. Me & my co-workers were able to go home at a little over 11:00 in the evening. Super mega overtime. But I'm not complaining. It's not like I have a date scheduled that day or something. Like I said, it was like any other day.

One thing that made me smile though that day was the gift I received from my little sister. I found out upon arriving from work that she got me a pink heart-shaped chocolate and she also gave plastic yellow roses to everyone else at home. A simple gesture turned into one of my simple pleasures that day. Nothing beats receiving something from your baby sister after a long day's work. It was the sweetest, most eloquent gesture ever. :)
But celebrating Valentine didn't just end that day. The week passed and Friday came. My friends (Jaja & Lala) and I went out for a "post-valentine date" that night. The plan almost didn't push through since Lala just came from a field trip that day & was feeling tired by the time we were about to go out. But we won't take "no" for an answer, Jaja and me. We picked up Lala at her house and motorcycled our way to Baybay. It was a fun, tummy-filling night. We pig out on chicken barbecue, lomi and rice, talked and laughed and went home at around 11:00 pm. :)

You see? Valentine's day is not just a day to be spent with your "special someone". You can always celebrate it with your family and friends. :)
