Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. - Philippians 3:13
2012. Can anybody easily believe it? I can hardly do so. The previous year seemed so quick into passing. Too fast yet too many memories gathered to make 2011 a year to cherish and remember for a lifetime. I am not going to babble about every single event that occurred last year that had an impact on me, rather I will post about the last few days of 2011. The holidays! Truly nothing beats Christmas vacation. Why ‘coz it’s the time of year when many go home for the holidays and that means a number of my childhood friends are going to show their faces around town. True enough, we got to spend time together.
First up, Jaja’s father’s birthday. Jaja, Rj, Lala, Praissie and I met up and caught up with news about each other. I remember having a lot of things revealed that got Praissie feeling shocked afterwards, that’s according to her. Having been away and out of the country for months, it was Praissie who got most of the surprise of the moment since the rest of us already knew about each other’s news. And just like any other hang outs we spend together, we were all just laughing and having so much fun talking about random stuffs.
Next up, our high school reunion (5 years after graduation). The night before the reunion, Jaja, Lala, Rj and I stayed at Rj’s place and had a sleepover. That’s of course after strolling around the then rainy streets of Baybay in our short shorts. The result – I got very cold afterwards and had to endure a fever overnight.
The next morning, we were all feeling hyped up for the reunion later that day. It was pretty successful. The reunion, I must say. Yet there is just this one thing, one person actually that was the highlight of the occasion for everyone. I am not going to write about him in my blog coz I don’t want negativity in this page. If anything, what he did easily became a laughing matter to everyone. So instead of stressing ourselves with the idea of him and what he did, we still all managed to have a great time! All the positivity we can muster was there to lighten up the occasion. That’s what we do best!

pretty ladies. yes raymund - you're one of us, pretty ladies! lol
And then Praissie’s 22nd. Again, hanged out with the same people with the same faces yet the fun never fades. The night was cold and it was drizzly but there was this warmth you feel when you spend time with people closest to your heart. Cheesy, huh? But it’s true. You just never get tired when it comes to people you treasure and care about, right? When you genuinely love someone, you will never get tired of him/her no matter the circumstances that arise. Now where did that come from? Haha. I’ll prolly leave you guys with that statement to ponder coz I already am blabbering now. Looking forward to the things in store for me this 2012. With God’s guidance, I know that 2012 will be an awesome year for everyone. Have faith! All the best, Bam. :)
This year is going to be kickass. Claim it. Aim for it. xoxo
